So, a rep from Enterprise called me as the Prairie Region manager. He was contacted about my issue of no car and wanted to follow up. He was shocked I didn't get a call back about my pick up as PA had lots of cars to rent as of Friday... more than usual. He told me the best he could do is one of two things:
1. If I could find my way to Saskatoon Airport, he would arrange a car to be ready for me there. If I had to take a cab all the way to Saskatoon, he might be able to compensate me for the expense... might... once the investigation is over. That's 1.5 hours away. I'm not taking a cab to Saskatoon on the might chance to be compensated... and I can't ask someone to drive me all the way down there.
2. I wait until Tuesday, when the branch is open again, and he will contact them as to my rental. He will start an investigation and have an answer by Wednesday, July 3. I think this is the only rational choice I have left.
He couldn't offer me specifics as to what he could do for me until he investigated why I was screwed over, but for now he will take my version of events as what happened.
It was interested how a regional rep DID call me, when I was told by customer service there was no one available. I am still frustrated by this... and as Danny Glover said in Lethal Weapon: I'm too old for this shit... I am emotionally fatigued by my complete change of plans this weekend. I'm gonna relax at home tonight, watch Sopranos, and then try and sleep this whole issue off and start fresh tomorrow.
