Teachers' Convention was ok. The two keynote speakers were awesome. The first guy was a 25 year old named Craig who started a humanitarian organization at the age of 12 and in the last 13 years has developed this group into an international humanitarian group that builds schools and communities in developing countries. He has met the Dalai Lama, Mother Theresa and Desmond Tutu. He was a great inspiration. He wrote a great book called Me to We about doing our part to change the world. His message wasn't about always doing something worldwide, but we can do our part around here and that teachers are the ones who gave him his inspiration. The second speaker worked for the STF and talked about inspiring our youth to be the best they can. He related it all to Dr. Seuss and his stories and was very funny. He often showed clips from a website that is part of a think-tank like group of scientists that hold a convention showing their developing projects in science, entertainment and technology. He talked about Stem Cell research, robotics innovations, and all the cool inventions that could not be possible if teachers didn't inspire kids to think beyond the classroom curriculum. I lost one more pound which is good. 341 lbs is heading in the right direction.
I have done a lot of packing and things are pretty "boxed" up downstairs in our basement.
Nothing new with Alison - Still rehearsing for her show at the end of April and doing Sparks.
Nothing new with Anisha - Still growing like a weed and talking more and more everyday. She really likes it when I read her the greatest Dr. Seuss book EVER: Yertle the Turtle.
Nothing major happening next week. Hopefully more Sub work will be great.
