Day 11 (and start of 12) of tonsillectomy recovery

I finally slept in my own bed Friday night. It was a restless sleep. Not used to sleeping lying down for so long. Plus, we forgot to turn of Anisha's alarm so she came moseying in at 6:41am. I ran her downstairs and turned on Saturday morning cartoons and went back to bed. My throat ached a bit all morning due to the dryness upstairs. With the humidifier on downstairs all the time early in my recovery, I was pleasantly comfy in the mornings. Yesterday, and today, I woke up with a very dry throat.

I managed to eat some poached eggs and bacon yesterday morning. I did some shopping with the family, then I came home and had a girl come over so I can tutor her. Now, that was a challenge. It REALLY dried out and ached my throat to tutor her as I never talked that length for a while. I kept drinking though and it was all good.

Had some friends over for a supper BBQ. Everyone else ate burgers or hotdogs, but I had the leftover BPs Fettuccini. It was a good visit.

Slept pretty well last night, Now my throat just aches a bit, like a usual sore throat. I am limiting my talking and still testing the waters of solid foods.
Off to church this morning, then relaxing with the family on this newly snowy day here in Prince Albert.
