Many weeks, busy, yet not...

It has been almost a month since my last post. Wow, what has happened?

1. My subbing has been average in May. It has picked up a bit in the last week with Track and Field, so that is all good.

2. My parents left the day after Anisha's B-Day and Alison's parents left the Monday after. Then, a week and a half later, my Aunt and Uncle from Ft. MacMurray came down to visit and get their dog's teeth cleaned. It turns out that it is WAY cheaper in Saskatchewan to get a dog's teeth cleaned. To drive from Ft. Mac to Prince Albert and get their TWO dog's teeth cleaned, one tooth extraction, AT THE WRONG VET, cost my aunt and uncle just over $500. Canine teeth cleaning STARTS around $600 PER DOG (if it's small) in Alberta. Crazy. It was great for them to visit. They also got us a gift card to Zellers which we used to get a nice umbrella and umbrella base. Click this line or the picture of the umbrella below to see more pics of their visit.

3. We have been doing a lot of garage sales lately, mostly for Anisha (books and some shoes), but we also lucked out last time and found a nice Palliser arm chair for the upstairs living room.

4. Anisha has been doing very well lately. Her vocabulary has increased quite a bit. She loves to sing and often searches for School Busses and Garbage Trucks whilst on the way to daycare. While Alison was at a garage sale last weekend, she picked up a Dora the Explorer plug in video game. Anisha has no clue on how to play it, but often randomly presses buttons and ends up doing well since the game doesn't let kids lose. Here is a picture.

5. Alison's Sparks/Guides work is increasing with it being the end of the year. There have been lots of cookouts. This weekend, Ali heads to the Brownie camp as a First Aider so Anisha and I will be having a weekend party! Alison has also put her name forward to be the local guiding commissioner which she will find out more about in the near future. Then some final outings with the Sparks and summer off!

6. I have recently decided to commit myself more to faith, Jesus and God. I guess it is like being saved, but I just decided to develop a stronger relationship with God. I have been reading lots lately (subbing allows for that opportunity) and many of the things I have been reading have been full of the questions about faith, God, Jesus, religion and the Bible that I have had myself. I have found a lot of comfort in these readings and since pledging my life to God, I have felt nothing but joy and comfort. I am not becoming one of those Jesus freaks that forces his beliefs on others because I find it uncomfortable when someone does it to me. I will not judge other people because it is only God who can judge. However, I feel compelled to continue on this faith journey that gives me such calm, peace and joy. I am for sure NOT religious. Religion is flawed because man is flawed (taken nicely from "Angels and Demons"), so I am more focussing on faith and God. I hope all of you support this journey with me, and yes, I will still tell off colour jokes and have my pet peeves, but I will approach life calmer and with more peace.

Wow, you guys have an umbrella that functions in both open and closed positions! I can't believe it, can you post a video of the process so I can see how it works?
