New House & Blog comments

So, the big news this week so far is that Alison and I have bought a house!

We put in the offer Friday morning and that night we got a counter offer. The sellers basically accepted our offer, but changed one bit of wording since they didn't have the ORIGINAL Surveyors certificate, but a photocopy. Since that is fine and dandy by our standards, we accepted the counter offer late last night.

We have to get the home inspection done by February 12th. Alison and I were pre-approved for a mortgage so we just have to finalize all those details on Monday when the banks are open. The possession date will be April 1st.

We are quite excited and look forward to getting all this work done for our new housing adventure. YAY us!

On another note, I have decided to follow Lindsey's lead and screen the comments on my blog. I have only had one or two negative comments on it in the past, but I figure I would nip this in the butt right now before it gets out of hand. There was a comment recently on my blog that was negatively critiquing my weight loss challenge and how I should watch the Biggest Loser to help me.
OH NO, I was insulted and made fun of about my weight! boohoohoo.
What kind of a loser takes the time to critique a personal challenge that I am on? Yes, I know that I am overweight/obese, but losing any weight for someone who has struggled to lose weight all their life is ALWAYS a good thing. I wonder if that person thought they were being funny with their comments, or for that fact: helpful? I don't think so. My ego/self esteem is too big to be insulted by that. In fact, it is almost a challenge against me to rage against that other person. But, I have no time to battle wits with those unarmed against me, so whoever made the comment: thank you. I have watched The Biggest Loser before and I am proud of those people AND I am proud of my accomplishments and challenges. Next time, if you want to insult me, have the guts to make it a good insult and not coat it with sarcasm. Otherwise, piss off and waste your internet time elsewhere.
