The crispness of fall

The fall season is here and there are a lot of things happening.

First, I have received confirmation that I have been found qualified for a more permanent teaching position (Correctional Educator) with CSC, AND that they are interested in bringing me back to Sask Pen, the federal prison I taught at the last couple of years on casual contracts. I am very excited about this news and should be hearing about a job offer soon. I'll keep you all informed.

Book 2 of my book series, Galactic Odyssey: Rise of the New Rebellion, should be done by the end of the month. It is in final edits right now and the cover is being worked on for publication through Amazon & Createspace. I am planning on selling and promoting the book at a number of Fan and Entertainment Expos in the next year in Saskatoon and Edmonton. I'll post when those are so you can come out and say hi if you are in the city.

I am MCing the medieval feast with Odyssey Productions theatre group on Oct 26, then directing the March show: 5 Women in the same dress. It's about 5 bridesmaids talking about life, relationships, sex, death, and a lot of everything else in between a wedding and reception. It is a funny, smart play that I look forward to directing. I have round 2 of auditions at the end of the month.

Ali is busy with Guides and work, as usual. Not much to report there. She is finding it busier this school year with Guiding, but still loves it.

Anisha is in Sparks with a new group since Ali didn't run a Spark group this year. She is in Grade one French Immersion and loving going to school every day. This month they are learning about colours and tasting foods of that color. For example, for green day they had olives to taste. She wasn't a fan, but I love to eat them

Samantha is still at Daycare and as busy as ever. She really wants to be a Spark like big sister and go to school.

Both begin two weeks of swim lessons next week. It will make for a busy Thanksgiving. My parents should be up for Thanksgiving, so that will be great to see them.

Anisha just got her School picture proofs, but they didn't scan well. I'll have pics for everyone soon. Have a great fall everyone!
