Last Christmas

So, this week is the WORLD Premiere of the show I am directing called "Last Christmas", written by Calgary playwright Neil Fleming. It was a lunch hour show in Calgary at the famous Lunchbox theatre and got lots of praise. Neil was approached by Odyssey's Artistic Director and asked to extend it into a two act play. He did, and we have been rehearsing since September. I am very excited for this show and can't wait to see it performed on Friday's premiere.

We are flying up the playwright for the premiere and it will be a whirlwind media blitz. We have CTV news and local papers coming on Tuesday and Wednesday for interviews. Friday, Neil will be up and doing TV, and maybe radio interviews, as well. Then we both speak at a post-secondary theatre class. That evening, Neil does a public reading of Last Christmas at the local theatre (poster above), then the world premiere show that night. The next day, Neil is running a playwrighting workshop. I have been growing my beard & hair out for Movember and find the beard VERY itchy.

Anisha is enjoying Kindergarten and French Immersion very much. She is also going to Sparks on Mondays with Ali and having fun there too.

Samantha is a typical 2-3 year old with stubbornness galore. She is enjoying daycare still, but is often a rambunctious climber with clumsiness issues. She recently did some climbing at daycare and came home looking like she tried out for UFC:

Other than that, I will be free of those major commitments after December 1, and I can really use the time away. Talk to you all later!
